With almost ten years experience as a technological consultant, it is easy to say that I am passionate about technology. At an early age my parents purchased me my first IBM clone computer, a 286 running the DOS operating system. Although my interests have expanded, that early technology bug has never gone away! I am a visual artist, web designer, writer and teacher. Creativity, passion, and critical thinking are the basis of any rewarding path in life, and my multifaceted experiences and education have prepared me for success.
Currently, I am lending my experience to the Carolinian Canada Coalition as technology consultant, webmaster and eco-news editor. Since October 2010, I have brought my diverse educational background to bare in helping the Coalition move forward technologically. CCC is a digital workplace, with coordinators residing in various towns and cities across Southwestern Ontario. The challenges of making the home-office work can be great, but with the right technology, the rewards of working from home can be even greater. For CCC I have recently facilitated the implementation of powerful online meeting and webinar software, a cloud-based file storage and collaboration environment, advanced event management software, and most recently a brand new web design and content management system based on the Drupal framework.

Major Projects
In The Zone Garden Tracker
Carolinian Canada Coalition – engineered the In The Zone Tracker solution, tracking thousands of properties across Ontario and beyond. The Tracker is like a "fitness tracker for your garden", using survey questions rooted in science to zero in on key indicators of the health of landscapes. All of this is presented for the average person, creating an accessible bridge between science and the garden. Development is ongoing, and includes solutions engineered on top of the Drupal content management system, Excel and VBA database engineering, reporting, and mapping on Google Earth Pro and QGIS
Webinar Host and Support · GoTo Webinar
Carolinian Canada Coalition – administer, support, and host an ongoing series of webinars. With GoTo Webinar we are able to host up to 10,000 registrants for informative webinars. We work with partners and organizations to bring Carolinian Canada's message and resources to a broader audience. As host, I introduce the software, troubleshoot technical issues, and look after participants while they enjoy the presentation. I organize questions, and train panelists on using the software and accessing its various capabilities. I also edit webinar recordings with DaVinci resolve, removing dead air and any technical issues that may crop up during recording. Finalized webinars are often posted to YouTube, either publicly or privately for sharing to participants or the public.
